This wonderful mother who said her greatest dream is for her children to die as terrorist martyrs is welcomed, along with her twisted offspring, back to Canada on an expedited basis. We will now be paying for the medical care required by one of the sons as a result of being a participant in a gun battle. Likely, we will pick up the tab for their legal aid as well. After all, this is Canada!
As a matter of a fact, one of the Khadrs is now suing the government for $100,000 based on some infringement of his rights.
And let's not forget that it was our own former Prime Minister, Jean Chretien, who personally intervened with Musharraf to get the Khadr patriarch released from prison so he could bring about the deaths of dozens more innocent people.
And that this same Prime Minister did nothing to secure the release of Bill Sampson held for years on bogus charges in Saudi Arabia. I guess Bill Sampson would not bring a voting block with him, so he could rot in hell.
I was hoping for a change with Paul Martin, but it isn't happening. It's all the same old, same old.
